METHOD FOR ASSESSING THE QUALITY AND VALUE OF CARE

A patient-centric method for objectively evaluating the quality and value of health care received by the patient during a medical encounter by the patient with a health care professional. The patient transmits the medical chart data and cost data fro m the medical encounter to an independent evaluation center and requests the independent evaluation center to review and analyze the medical encounter. An objective evaluation of the medical chart data and the cost data is conducted by the independent evaluation center by reviewing and analyzing the medical chart data and the cost data based on a series of objective question s. The independent evaluation center generates a report which provides an objective evaluation of the quality and value of care received by the patient for that particular medical encounter. The report is then transmitted to the patient, thereby providing the patient with an objective evaluation on the medical encounter with the health care professional.
