PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically open/close an open/close valve of a bottom valve mechanism by using a bottom valve shaft provided on a tank of a tank truck as it is. SOLUTION: The automatic opening/closing device for the bottom valve drives an open/close valve element provided at a discharge port for discharging a petroleum product in the tank of the tank truck. The bottom valve shaft 8 for activating the open/close valve element is designed to allow a worm wheel 21 to be mounted, wherein the worm wheel 21 is held on a driving unit 10 and also is engaged with a worm 31 provided on the driving unit 10. The worm 31 is driven to rotate by an air motor provided on the driving unit 10. When the bottom valve shaft 8 vertically moves with the rotation, and the unit 10 vertically moves to follow the shaft 8, the unit 10 is guided by a guide rod 42.
