PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a coating film which shows outstanding resistance to soil and raindrop staining properties, further high hardness and superb heat resistance, in addition to scuff resistance and weatherability, when a clear coating film is formed on a base coating film formed on the surface of a metal plate. SOLUTION: In the method for forming the clear coating film by applying a clear coating material on the base coating film formed by applying a base coating material on the metal plate, the clear coating material contains a silicate-modified acrylic silicone resin composition as the characteristics of the method.
