PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an insecticide for agriculture and horticulture, having remarkable effects on the control of various kinds of agricultural and forest insect pests, such as horticultural insect pests, stored grain insect pests, and insect pests damaging paddy rice, fruit trees, vegetables, other crops, flowering plants or the like. SOLUTION: This phthalamide derivative is represented by general formula (I) wherein, R1, R2 and R3 are each H, a (halo)3-6C cycloalkyl, -A1-(G)r [wherein, A1 is a 1-8C alkylene, a 3-6C alkenylene or the like; G is H, a halogen, cyano, nitro, a 1-6C haloalkyl, a (substitute) phenyl, a (substituted) heterocycle or the like; and r is 1-4]; Q is a (condensed) heterocycle including O, S and N which may be substituted; X is H, a halogen, cyano, nitro, a 1-6C haloalkyl, a (substituted) phenyl, a (substituted) heterocycle or the like; n is 1-4; and Z1 and Z2 are each O or S}. The heterocyclic amine derivative of an intermediate therefor is represented by general formula (IV'): Q'-NH2 (IV') [wherein, Q' is a specific (condensed) heterocycle in Q]. The insecticide for agriculture and horticulture, and a method for using the insecticide are also provided. |
