PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handle structure for walking type working machine allowing a person to stably and satisfactorily perform a general operating work with an auxiliary handle being in a housing attitude and a side operating work with the auxiliary handle being switched to a grasping attitude. SOLUTION: In this handle structure for walking type working machine, the longitudinal middle parts of right and left handle rods 5 of a traveling working machine provided with handles 5a extended backward from the right and left handle rods 5 in a forked shape are mutually connected through a stay 6, and the auxiliary handles 7 are provided on the handle rods 5 in the positions near the stay 6 in such a manner as to be switchable between the grasping attitude and the housing attitude.
