<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable waste gas and waste water which are discharged from a reduction furnace for refining a metal by reductive treatment of an ammonia compound and contain ammonia, ammonia-containing waste water in particular, to be effectively subjected to detoxifying treatment (treatment for removing nitrogen) at a low cost. SOLUTION: Discharge containing waste gas and waste water which is discharged from the reduction furnace and contains ammonia is introduced into a water-sealed vessel 15 via an exhaust pipe 16. Water in the water-sealed vessel 15 is circulated by a circulation system having a circulating water tank 19, a pump for circulation 20 or the like to increase ammonia concentration in water. Water overflowed from the circulating water tank 19 is accommodated in a gasifying separation tank 24 and then is heated to gasify and separate ammonia. Water after gasifying separation of ammonia is subjected to neutralization treatment in a waste water treating device 26. Ammonia separated in the gasifying separation tank 24 is subjected to detoxifying treatment in a waste gas treating device 28.</p> |
