PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper roll holding structure holding a paper roll so as not to be positionally dislocated and easy in replenishing and replacing the paper roll. SOLUTION: A pair of holding parts 31 having a pair of elastic parts 29 elastically bendable and deflectable in the mutually approaching and separating direction are connected by a connecting part 28, a pair of projecting parts 30 for mutually approaching and separating according to bending and deflection of the elastic parts 29 are arranged on the opposed sides of the respective elastic parts 29, a pair of guide parts 24 for respectively and slidably guiding the projecting parts 30 in the shaft direction are arranged on an outer peripheral surface of a support shaft 23 for supporting the paper roll, and a pressing-down surface 32 for pressing down the side end of the paper roll supported in a state of penetrating the support shaft 23 through a core so as to be almost orthogonal to the core, is integrally arranged in the holding parts 31 or the connecting part 28. The projecting parts 30 are easily displaced in the mutually contacting and separating direction due to being installed in the easily deformable elastic parts 29, and frictional force between the projecting parts 30 and the guide parts 24 can be sufficiently obtained due to being pressed to the guide parts 24 by being energized by the elastic parts 29.
