PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cast-in product, such as a cylinder block with which the residual strain is reduced and the crack and the permanent deformation can be restrained, by sufficiently improving the engagement between grooves formed on the outer peripheral surface and molten metal in a cast-in objective part, such as cylinder liner. SOLUTION: The running of molten aluminum alloy is made to good at the cast-in time to the whole body of the cylinder liner 8, with the grooves 16 formed on the outer peripheral surface 8a of the cylinder liner 8 and the aluminum alloy of molten state can sufficiently be brought into contact with the groove-state recessed parts 18 formed in the grooves 16. Then, the cylinder liner 8 is engaged with the aluminum alloy when this molten aluminum alloy is solidified and shrunk with the groove-state recessed part 18 and the shifting of the aluminum alloy is restrained. In such a way, the engagement between the outer peripheral surface 8a of the cylinder liner 8 and the aluminum alloy can sufficiently be improved and the residual strain of the cylinder block can be reduced and the crack of the cylinder block and the deformation of a bore part can be restrained.
