PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an aromatic substance scarcely having bubbles and also the aromatic substance obtained by the method. SOLUTION: This method comprises mixing a volatile activated material, a gel material and a solubilizing agent while heating, and then cooling the mixture under reduced pressure. According to the method, volatilization or deterioration of the volatile activated material can be prevented by quick cooling, the forcible removal of bubbles is made possible, and therefore the aromatic substance having superior deodorizing, aromatizing effect and good appearance can be obtained.
