PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impact resistance improver capable of imparting both impact resistance and flame-retardancy to a resin by adding a small amount of it without affecting the balance of physical properties of the resin, and to provide an impact resistant resin containing the improver. SOLUTION: This impact resistance improver comprises a polymer having Si-O bond and B-O bond. This impact resistant resin composition contains 0.1 to 50 pts.wt. of the impact resistance improver to 100 pts.wt. of the resin.
