PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a power unit, and to improve the productivity, the maintainability, the machining accuracy, etc. SOLUTION: This power unit comprises an engine unit 41 having a bracket 51 which pivotally supports a counter shaft 72 in a rear part inside a casing 44 of an engine body provided with a crank shaft 61 along the width direction of a motorcycle parallel to the crank shaft 61, and has a fitting bole 52 extended backward in a rear part outside the easing 44 and piercing in the width direction of the motorcycle, a transmission unit 42 separate from the engine unit 41 and a bevel unit 43. One side of a forward part of the transmission unit 42 is fixed to one side of the rear part of the casing 44 of the engine unit 42 to rotatably and integrally couple the counter shaft 72 with a transmission input shaft 89, and the side of the rear part of the transmission unit 42 is fitted and fixed to one side of the bracket 51 to fit and fix the bevel unit 43 to the other side of the bracket 51, and a transmission output shaft 90 and a bevel input shaft 105 are rotatably and integrally coupled with each other.
