PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for color imaging having a simplified construction as a result of making possible effectively usage of a memory which stores recording information corresponding to four colors contained in a color image information and enhancement of using efficiency of the memory. SOLUTION: There is provided a delay buffer memory 132 in which image information of PGB transmitted from an image data input portion 101 is converted to image information of YMCK in an image processing portion 102, the converted image information is stored and the stored image information is outputted to an image data output portion 104 as required. The delay buffer memory 132 is composed of a first memory device 132a storing the image information of black K and the image information of yellow Y and a secondary memory device 132b storing the image information of cyan C and the image information of magenta M.
