PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of inevitably high cost of a cutter as it is necessary to improve strength of the cutter by working diamonds since abrasion of the cutter is violent as its knife edge head end part is acute angled in the case of cutting a base material by a conventional slit cutter and of hard maintenance of it as there occurs a partial defect of the cutter, etc. SOLUTION: A slitter device to cut the base material 1 by being furnished with at least one set of the cutters 4 to be rotationally driven and arranging the cutters 4 against each other so that axes of rotation of the both cutters come to be materially in parallel with each other constitutes its characteristic feature of making at least one of sides constituting a knife edge angle on a cutting plane including a shaft 2 is a curved line on either of the cutters.
