PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a repair coating method by which an operating efficiency is enhanced by using a primer composition which is rapidly cured by light emission with the help of a lamp having a luminescent spectrum in the wavelength region of 300 nm or more. SOLUTION: A photosetting primer composition which is composed mainly of (A) a resin containing a polymerizable unsaturated group, (B) a polymerizable unsaturated compound, (C) an extender pigment and/or resin particles and (D) a photopolymerization initiator having an absorption spectrum in a wavelength region of 300 nm or more with a weight ratio of 90/10-10-/90 as a use ratio between the resin (A) and the compound (B) and also contains 1-300 pts.wt. extender pigment and/or resin particles (C) to a total of 100 pts.wt. resin (A) and compound (B), is applied to a base material surface or a putty-applied surface. Further, the primer composition is cured by irradiating it with the lamp having the luminescent spectrum in the wavelength region of 300 nm or more, and then is coated with a topcoat.
