PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of controlling a toilet seat with a heating function with which a toilet seat is fully heated after an user sits on it by keeping on turning on electricity for a while, and electricity is saved by turning off electricity after the toilet seat gets warm enough. SOLUTION: When a sensor 6 for checking if a toilet seat is seated detects nobody is sitting on it, and a sensor 5 for detecting a human body detects nobody is around the toilet seat ((1)), aimed temperature to be attained by heating by a heater 8 is preset at a lower temperature T1, and power is distributed to the heater 8 until the temperature detected by a sensor 9 for measuring temperature reaches T1. If the sensor 5 for detecting a human body detects a human body around the toilet seat, or a sensor 7 for a lid for a toilet detects that the lid for a toilet is opened ((2)), the preset temperature is raised to T2. Even though a sensor 6 for sitting on a toilet seat finds that the toilet seat is occupied ((3)), the preset temperature T2 remains as is. When the temperature detected by the sensor 9 for measuring temperature reaches T2 ((6)), the preset temperature is lowered to T3; which means that the electricity is turned off for the heater 8.
