PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plain bearing capable of exhibiting bearing characteristics equal to or above those of LBC-3 even without being incorporated with lead at all, even though in a plain bearing used for swash type compressors of car air conditioners, construction equipment or the like, as a bearing alloy, lead-containing LBC-3 has been used as a bearing alloy, but, at the time of performing reclamation disposal, the phenomenon that lead dissolves by acid rain to contaminate ground water is feared even though LBC-3 has excellent bearing characteristics and to provide its producing method. SOLUTION: In this plain bearing, alloy powder consisting of, by mass, 7 to 13% Sn and 0.1 to 5% Ag, and the balance Cu or a powdery mixture obtained by mixing the same alloy powder with one or more kinds selected from 0.05 to 0.5% molybdenum disulfide powder and 0.1 to 2% graphite powder is joined to a disk-shaped iron sheet by a sintering method. Further, in this method for producing the plain bearing, a bearing alloy is scattered over an iron sheet, is thereafter sintered at 840 to 880 deg.C, is densified at 150 to 200tons and is then sintered at 840 to 880 deg.C. Next, the bearing alloy face is subjected to machining to a roughness of 0.3 to 1μmRa and is then finished to a roughness of <=0.1μmRa. |
