PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device to continuously and properly produce glass blocks from glass grains. SOLUTION: The glass block production method comprises charging the required quantity of glass grains 1 into the top opening 12 of the vertically extendable cylindrical heating furnace 3, heating to over softening temperature by heating means 18 the glass grins 1 while dropping in the furnace 3, thereafter deriving and accumulating glass grains 1 in the forming mold 4 provided under the furnace 3 and melting and bonding the adjacent glass grains 1 in the molding die 4 to produce the glass block 6 of the dimensions corresponding to those of the mold 4.
