PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To get a primer resin for a thermal transfer ink-ribbon tape which is excellent in productivity, preservability and printing characteristics. SOLUTION: The tape consists of a supporting body and a transfer ink layer made on the supporting body through an intermediate layer, and a heat-resistant coat layer made on a backside of the supporting body. Greater than or equal to 60 mole % of all-acid components of the resin, which constitutes the above intermediate layer of the tape, are aliphatic dibasic acid or alicyclic dibasic acid, and sum (Nsum) of the carbon numbers (N-a) of dibasic acid components that has the largest content ratio of dibasic acid among aliphatic dibasic acid or alicyclic dibasic acid and the carbon numbers (N-g) of glycol components that has the largest content ratio among the whole glycol components are greater than or equal to 12. |
