PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly determine the relative positions of a cap and a nut or the relative position of these parts and each electrode in manufacturing a cap nut by welding the cap and the nut, and to surely determine the supplying behavior in supplying the cap and the nut to the electrodes. SOLUTION: A recessed part 16 for storing and holding the cap 13 is formed on one of electrodes 6, a recessed part 36 for storing and holding the nut 10 is formed on the other electrode 8, and the held cap 13 and nut 10 are pressed and electrically connected by advancing the electrode 6 to weld the cap and the nut. A cap supply mechanism 19 and a nut supply mechanism 38 with square motion, are mounted for supplying the parts to recessed parts 16 and 36 of both electrodes, and the cap 13 and the nut 10 are held by supplying members 18 and 37.
