FLOW REGULATING NOZZLE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of cracks in flow regulating nozzle refractories and to prevent the decarburization damage of the refractories (bricks) by outdoor air suction. SOLUTION: The flow regulating nozzle which is mounted at the bottom of a vessel housing molten metal and allows the molten metal in the vessel to flow out by regulating its flow while adjusting the flow rate thereof is formed by covering at least portions of the outer peripheral surfaces of the flow regulating nozzle refractories and the top and bottom end faces of the flow regulating nozzle refractories with iron shell cases.
