PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric pot with which necessary amount of hot water can be obtained in a short period of time without boiling the whole amount of hot water in a container as before when a small amount of boiling water is needed. SOLUTION: An electric pot is provided with an bowl-shaped, isolating material 9, which divides the inside of a container 2 into an upper storing part 12 and a lower storing part 13, a heating means 3, which heats up water, a pump 4, which supplies water, a means 8 for detecting temperature, which detects temperature of the water, a controlling device 7, which controls the heating means 3 and the pump 4, and a water receiving pipe 10, which connects to an opening 6 of a linking pipe 5 leading to the pump 4, which links to the bottom of the container 2, and juts upward. Since the isolating material 9 has a part 18 for allowing water to flow and a check valve 17 on its upper surface, and an opening 10A for receiving water found on the water receiving pipe 10 is placed close to the top part of the isolating material 9, hot water of high temperature in the lower storing part 13 is supplied easily.
