The present invention relates to Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA)-based communication systems and in particular to a method and an arrangement for handling of network units (22), e.g. radio base stations, that have been affected by an internal malfunction, e.g. hardware faults or resource problems. Said method performs locally in the network unit (22) the steps of detecting and analysing malfunctions of internal hardware units (221a), retrieving a particular hardware unit (221b, 221c) that can replace or support the affected hardware unit (221a), and establishing internally a partly reallocated connection (225b, 225c) and a communication channel to the new hardware unit (221b, 221c). Said arrangement in the network unit (22) comprises a local controller unit (223) and means (223a-223c) that perform said steps. |
