A filter bag may be provided for one of a plurality of filter sections formi ng a disc-like filter, the filter sections having discharge means to permit filtrate to pass therethrough, the filter bag comprising a flexible filtering material permeable to liquid, shaped to conform to and enclose a filter section, with an opening manufactured integrally to the filtering material and positioned in alignment with the discharge means, whereby filtrate passing from the filter section through the discharge means will pass through the opening, and means for sealing the opening to the supporting structure to which the filter sections are secured, comprising at least one thickness of the material.
