PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a beam-column joint metal, by which the dimensional accuracy of a beam-column joint section can be ensured easily by simple constitution, alignment is facilitated, the complicated cutting works of a beam are made unnecessary and welding works are reduced and force can be transmitted efficiently among columns on upper and lower floors and which has excellent aseismicity and can construct a beam-column joint structure having the contraction of a column area having high reliability at a low cost. SOLUTION: The lower end section of the beam-column joint metal 4, in which a reinforcing section 4b is formed at the upper end section of a square-shaped sectional pipe 4a, is welded and joined to the lower-floor column 1, an upper-floor column 2 is welded and joined at the upper end section of the joint metal 4, and the end sections of the beams 3 are welded and joined onto the outer-circumferential side face 4f of the joint metal 4. The joint metal 4 is constituted in such a manner that thickness TA corresponding to the position A of the outer-circumferential side face of the upper floor column 2 of the reinforcing section 4b has thickness at the fixed times of the plate thickness (t) of the upper floor column 2 and the underside 4e of the reinforcing section 4b or the tangent of the underside 4e has a tilt angle from 40 deg. to 50 deg. in the axial direction of the column and the underside 4e is thinned gradually towards the inside of the pipe 4a.
