PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operator with network management of high operability. SOLUTION: While defining devices which are connected to a network by a broadcast or subnet broadcast packet, as a search range, an arbitrary packet transferred on the network is monitored. A print job packet is extracted from that monitored packet (S1101), the data on the destination which is not in the present subnet are detected among that packet (S1102) and a subnet, including the destination of transfer except for the present subnet, is added to a new search range (S1103). |
