PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the quality of photographic processing by decreasing the reading errors of recording information. SOLUTION: The photographic processing device having an information reading means 71 for reading the information recorded in information reading parts 14 disposed for every frame image 13 of a photographic film 12 is provided with a judging section 91 which judges whether the information is read from the information reading parts 14 of the respective frame images 13 or not in accordance with the reading results from the information reading parts 14 of the respective frame images 13 in accordance with the reading results by the information reading means 71 so that the recording information is read from the information reading parts 14 while the photographic film 12 is transported in one direction and whether the information is can be read from the information reading parts 14 or not is judged in the judging section 91 and on the other hand, when the judging section 91 makes judgment that the information cannot be read, the rereading of the recording information can be performed while the photographic film 12 is transported in a direction reverse from the transporting direction of the previous time.
