The mask is composed of a band (1) with a nail-shaped cut-out (3). The cut-out is reinforced by a cylindrical contour (4) thicker than the rest of the band which marks the demarcation between the skin and the nail and prevents varnish from seeping between the skin around the nail and the band. The internal surface (2) is adhesive to allow the band to be firmly held around the finger.
