PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent sticking or melt sticking of a toner onto the surface of a photoreceptor. SOLUTION: The photoreceptor 1 is produced by applying a photosensitive layer 6 on the outer peripheral face of a drum type substrate 2 in such a manner that the compressive circumferential stress is >=16 MPa or the tensile circumferential stress is >=16 MPa.
