PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanner with resolution in an orthogonal direction of a scanning direction and a tommographic image photographing device using it. SOLUTION: In this optical scanner, a scanning image is acquired by projecting a light source image with a repeating pattern on a sample and by scanning the light source image. A scanning plate, on which the repeating pattern is formed both in the scanning direction and in the orthogonal direction of the scanning direction, is arranged on a surface of an intermediate image of an object lens.
