PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic filing system unnecessitating transferring of the whole document in order to obtain information concerning a part of the document. SOLUTION: In registering data, a server prepares partial data by performing extraction processing from a document given from a client user and extraction processing contents stored in an extraction item DB 53 to prepare partial data by means of a partial data extraction part 43, stores the prepared partial data in a partial data DB 61 and stores information concerning the document of the prepared partial data in a document attribute DB 51. In retrieving data, the server obtains partial data of a retrieving result by retrieving the document by means of a data retrieving part 44 and outputs it to a client.
