PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system for public line connection by which wiring can be simplified and which can widely with the information transmission of LAN such as personal computer communication or a telephone inside a building. SOLUTION: In this communication system for public line connection, plug sockets C1-C8 provided at least with LAN terminals for LAN connection and ISDN terminals for ISDN connection are fixed to a plurality of children's rooms B1, a living (room) B2, a children's room B3 and a study (room) B4 in a building A, one terminal part of each of a plurality of LAN cables CV2, CV4, CV6 and CV8 whose other terminal parts are connected to the respective LAN terminals is centralized to a wiring take-out part in one part of the building, one terminal part of each of ISDN cables CV1, CV3, CV5 and CV7 whose other terminal parts are connected to the respective ISDN terminals is centralized to a wiring take-out part B, a communication circuit to be connected to a public line network is provided in the wiring take-out part, and the other terminal parts of the cables are connected to the communication circuit.
