PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure supportive rigidity of a tappet, a cam shaft and the like while collectively achieving satisfactory oil circulation such as supply of hydraulic oil to an variable valve device integrated in a tappet, in a cylinder head. SOLUTION: A supporting member 50 formed by integrating a longitudinal wall part 53 to bear cam shafts 15, 16, a tappet guide 54 to store a tappet 24, and a tappet lubricant receiving part 51 inclining around the tappet guide 54 is provided on a cylinder head 12, and a hydraulic oil supply passages 203, 209, 210 to an variable valve device are extendedly provided in the longitudinal direction of the supporting member 50 on the further inside of the tappet guide 54. Since rigidity of the supporting member 50 is high, supportive rigidity of the cam shafts 15, 16, the tappet 24 and the hydraulic control valve of the variable valve device can be secured, and supply of the hydraulic oil to the variable valve device can be secured by the oil passages 203, 209, 210.
