PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the cost of manufacture of a hydraulic piston for a hydro static power transmission provided with a hollow cavity for lightening of weight. SOLUTION: This piston 10, comprising a main body 12 having a first/second and part 14, 16 to be formed with a slender cavity 18 in the inside, a cap 30 fixed to the second end part for sealing the cavity to close it, and a slipper 50 having a ball 52 inserted to an arc-shaped socket 40 of the cap, is presented by metal injection molding.
