PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double-action type chain lock mechanism solving problems of a conventional one. SOLUTION: In this chain lock mechanism having a latch member 3 performing projecting/recessing action for unlocking a chain according to a motion of an operation body 7 in a cylinder lock 6, a latch controlling member 8, which locks and prevents the latch member 3 from working when it is engaged with a locking part formed in the latch member 3 and releases lockup of the latching member 3 when a card type plate key is inserted, is provided inside a case 1 of the chain locking mechanism, and a flat lock to be locked/ unlocked by insertion/removal of the plate key is arranged.
