Aqueous liquid laundry builder composition including a pyrophosphate and detergent compositions including the builder

An aqueous builder composition for a low alkaline laundry system which includes between about 30% to about 60% w/w of an alkali metal pyrophosphate salt. The alkali metal pyrophosphate salt is selected from sodium tripolyphosphate, tetrapotassium phosphate, tetrasodium pyrophosphate, trisodium phosphate or a mixture of any two or more thereof. The builder can further include an alkali metal silicate and/or alkali metal hydroxide. The aqueous builder along with a detergent can be used for laundering soiled fabrics.
