摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce total cost and also to improve yield by eliminating a film forming process and reducing the number of sheets of photo-masks while eliminating the short-circuited place among bus lines of counter electrodes by a final conductive layer in the liquid crystal display device of an IPS(in-plane switching) system provided with channel etched type TFTs. SOLUTION: In a substrate on which the thin film transistor array of the liquid crystal display device of a traverse electric field system is formed, this substrate has gate wirings and bus lines of counter electrodes which are formed roughly parallel with these gate wirings and the gate wirings are connected to a driving IC and the bus lines of the counter electrodes are drawn out to one side of the substrate and the lines are integrated into one on the panel substrate of the under surface of the driving IC.</p>
