PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer electrolyte high in ion conductivity, excellent in quality stability and easy to prepare and a secondary cell with high capacity and safety using the polymer electrolyte. SOLUTION: The polymer electrolyte is formed by using at least a polymer having a repeated unit represented by a general formula: -(CxH2x-O)m-and a repeating unit represented by -[CH(R1)-CH2-O]n-, (wherein, x is an integer of 1-6; m>=0; n>=0; m+n>=5; R1 is an alkyl group or benzyl group with carbon number of 1 to 6) and having a urea structure represented by the formula (I), electrolyte salt and nonaqueous solvent as constitutional elements, and the secondary cell is fabricated by using the polymer electrolyte as a constitutional element. In the formula (I), R2 and R3 are each a hydrocarbon chain with carbon number of 1 to 6 or a hydrocarbon chain having an aromatic ring with total number of carbons of 7 to 11, and R4 is hydrogen, a hydrocarbon chain with carbon number of 1 to 6 or a hydrocarbon chain having an aromatic ring with the total number of carbons of 7 to 11. |
