PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assistor for operating a transmission capable of miniaturization in a diametric direction and an axial direction of a piston. SOLUTION: A power piston 5 is slidably arranged in a power cylinder part 2 fixed on an upper case 6 of a transmission T, pressure chambers 11a, 11b are partitioned by the power piston 5. A control valve 3 is arranged in the power piston 5. The control valve 3 arranges valve spools 71a, 71b opposedly and radially interposes an input transmitting pin 76 and a rod member 4a of a shift lever 4 of the transmission T therebetween. When the input transmitting pin 76 is moved in one direction, high pressure air is supplied from this side operating pressure chamber 26 to the reverse side pressure chamber 11, internal air is discharged to the atmosphere through an exhaust port 22 of a shift level chamber 23 from an exhaust chamber 21 in the other side, in this way the rod member 4a is followed the displacement of the input transmitting pin 76.
