PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cover a protruding portion such as a door of an entrance of a building, a balustrade, a corner portion of a wall, and a column, without using a stopper or the like inclusive of an adhesive tape, to thereby protect the surface of the protruding portion. SOLUTION: There is provided a shape-memory curing mat comprised of a combination of a sheet 1 and core wires 2. The sheet 1 is formed of a corrugated plastic sheet having liners 3 and 4 on both sides of a central core 5. The surface of one of the liners 3 has cuts 6 formed in parallel with each other in a manner intersecting the central core 5, and the other liner 4 functions as a hinge when the mat is bent. The core wires 2 have flexibility and inserted into corrugated stages of the central core 5 of the corrugated plastic P at predetermined intervals, whereby self-shape retentive property is imparted to the sheet 1. The shape-memory curing mat is bent in three directions to cover three surfaces of the column, for instance, and covers the surfaces of the column while retaining the shape of the same.
