The playing card holder has two symmetrical strips which are hinged together to allow folding and moulded along at least one side. The strips can be folded laterally to define a gap to receive a card while allowing easy reading of the card surface. The strip can be placed directly onto a playing table. The moulding allows ease of gripping of the strips. Each end of the strips can be recessed at fifteen degrees.
