PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cancel the crosstalk of a recording/reproducing disk, and to simultaneously perform stable tracking control. SOLUTION: An optical pickup generates a multi-beam by providing an element provided to have a diffraction grating in an optical path based on an external electric signal, and changes its division optical quantity ratio and a beam pitch to optimal values respectively for recording and reproducing.
