<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner which can be fixed in a good state at a low fixing temperature and is excellent in blocking resistance, and to provide a two- component developer containing at least a magnetic carrier which can maintain the characteristics of the said toner for a long term even in a long-term machine running. SOLUTION: The two-component developer contains a toner and a magnetic carrier, and the toner has toner particle containing at least a binder resin and a coloring agent and having 1 to 15μm number average particle size. The toner particle has a coating layer formed by the adhesion and deposition of granular aggregates containing at least a silicon compound on the surface of the particle. The toner has one or more glass transition points at a temp. of <=60 deg.C and its initiation temperature for melting is <=100 deg.C, with <=38 deg.C temperature difference between the glass transition temperature and the initiation temperature for melting. The magnetic carrier has 5 to 40μm number average particle size and 50 to 230 emu/cm3 magnetic force at 1 kOe.</p> |
