PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera that is downsized by incorporating an image pickup element, a medium slot, an optical finder or the like and an electric board into a camera outer package with an excellent space efficiency. SOLUTION: The electronic camera 1 is a single lens reflex electronic camera, a prism 21 to separate a luminous flux into an image pickup luminous flux and a finder luminous flux is placed behind an image pickup lens barrel 6, a CCD 23 is placed behind the prism 21, and an optical system finder section 31 consisting of a vertical lens barrel section 32 and a horizontal lens barrel section 33 is provided in the bove space. Furthermore, a main board 51 is provided to a part beneath the horizontal lens barrel section 33, and at least the CCD 23 and memory card slots 57, 58 are mounted on the main board 51. Since the layout above is adopted for the electronic camera 1, downsizing of the camera is realized. |
