PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems of a conventional double bass reflex system that the system has needed a partition and a port in comparison with a bass reflex system resulting in causing a remarkable cost increase 1) and has had a smaller sound pressure effect due to the mechanical resistance of the port of the partition 2). SOLUTION: A partition 4 divides the inside of an enclosure 2 of a bass reflex type speaker system into a cavity on the speaker unit side and a cavity on the bus reflex port side, and the opening communicating the two cavities is configured only by the cross section of the partition 4 and the inner wall face of the enclosure 2 so as to operate the opening like a port by the effect of open-end correction, and hence no separate port for the partition 4 is required. Since the wall face of the enclosure 2 is used for a port, the area of the opening is increased, thereby reducing the mechanical resistance. As a result, the cost can be reduced and a low sound frequency component with a high sound pressure can be reproduced.
