PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To furthermore improve the printing image quality. SOLUTION: This photographic printing device is provided with a printing head 4 for subjecting print sheets to printing operation in accordance with the print data set with print density for every pixel of image and a data conversion section for converting the inputted image data of photographic films 1 into the print data. The data conversion section is so constituted as to execute base conversion processing to convert the image data so as to remove the color information intrinsic to the photographic films 1 included in the inputted image data and image quality correction processing to correct the image quality of the image data. The data conversion section is so constituted as to execute the image quality correction processing under the processing conditions corresponding to the photographic films in accordance with the attribute information of the photographic films 1.
