PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring method capable of accurately measuring contact pressure on a surface of complicated shape. SOLUTION: According to this method, a surface of an object A12 to be measured is coated with a pressure sensitive liquid 11 developing a color whose strength changes in proportion to the magnitude of a pressure applied thereto, the liquid 11 is pressed by an object B13, and the strength of the color developed on the surface of the object A12 coated with the liquid 11 is measured by a color strength meter 14. This enables a contact pressure to be accurately measured even in the case of a surface of complicated shape.
