PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the flame detecting device of combustion equipment capable of always monitoring a flame detecting operation detecting combustion flame without being restricted by combustion conditions, the type of gas, etc. SOLUTION: The output voltage (vo) of an amplifying means 3 amplifying the electromotive force of a thermocouple 2 is compared with the comparison signal of square wave outputted by a direct-current-to-alternating-current converting means 14. When the output voltage (vo) is the low level (vLo) of the comparison signal or higher, a flame detecting operation is determined normal. At this time, the value of the low level (vLo) is the ideal value of the output voltage of the amplifying means 3 at the time of normal combustion and in the operating condition such as the detection of oxygen deficiency, that is the value stored in a non-volatile memory 12 in advance with the reference voltage of amplification output corresponded to a combustion condition. Therefore, the device can monitor accurately even if the combustion condition changes. Moreover, the device can monitor accurately corresponding to the combustion condition by correcting the reference voltage of amplification output by a gas species setting means 15 even in the case when the species of gas is changed.
