PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic component which is satisfactory in characteristics and productivity and can contribute to the reduction of cost, by examining the structure of filling a cavity of a case in which at least one electronic component is housed. SOLUTION: A capacitor 3 provided with metallicon electrodes 1 on its both end surfaces, to which lead wires 2 are fitted, is housed at a desired position within a case 4, and a resin layer 6, in which a resin plate 5 is fixed on its upper surface, is formed in the cavity of the case 4.
