PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make easily discriminable a reflector attached to the target of a radar, from other objects. SOLUTION: The modulation reflector is attached to the target of a radar 1. Radio waves of the radar 1 received by a reflector antenna 3 on the modulation reflector are peridocally changed over to a terminator 5 and a reflector 6 by a switch 5 which is controlled by the clock of a clock generator 7. The terminator 5 absorbs the radio waves so as not to be reflected. The reflector 7 reflects the radio waves as they are. Since the reflection cross-sectional area of the modulation reflector is changed periodically, the modulation reflector is observed by the radar 1 as an object in which the intensity of reflected waves is repeated so as to be strong and weak at the cycle of the clock. Consequently, the modulation reflector can be discriminated easily from the other objects in which the intensity of the reflected waves is not periodic.
|
