PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing unit that can conduct convergence correction and distortion correction of an image with high accuracy. SOLUTION: A storage section 35 stores correction data to correct a position error of three colors, red, green and blue detected by an adjustment device 41 in advance. The stored correction data are outputted to a correction waveform output circuit 36 via a control circuit 32 as required. The correction waveform output circuit 36 generates a correction waveform on the basis of the inputted correction data and outputs it to a clock signal generating circuit 34. Respective red, green and blue video data stored in a memory 31 are read according to the clock generated from the clock signal generating circuit 34.
